Employment is hard to come by with whats going on with job cuts ect. I hit on a idea, to start my own hot dog cart run. I have had this idea for well over four years now, but its only now that
I have set my heart doing it. I contacted the council and asked if I could do this? For weeks and weeks I was past from department to department, until finally my letter was passed on property and Technical team for consideration. After a month of waiting, I decided to Chas them up.
I basically discovered a gap in the market for the beach I live across the road from.
There are not many shops along this beach and some of the areas of the beach doesn’t have enough coverage for the Holiday makers on the beaches to get to a shop easier. So I came up with the idea of a hot do cart, that will cover the areas, where the nearest cafe or bar was over a 15 min walk away.
Well finial today, I got to talk to someone on the phone and he rejected my idea. I knew it was a possiabity, but I felt his reason where more based on the councils intrests, related to money they could loss on rent from nearby shops.
What gets me, is I weren’t planning to trade out side these shops, nor nearby. There are other things running along the beach e.g like a fun train ect.
Do you think I should appeal against this, based on the reasons they gave? Thanks:)
