manuelaantoni asked:
Considering the minor is almost 18 years old, can he/she rent an apartment in London?
If so, what area would you recommend? (hip, with young people, cafes, bars and nightclubs)
and if not, what alternative would you recommend for a two week stay?
An almost 18 year old isn’t considered a minor in the UK. At 16 you can work, leave home and do whatever you want and at 17 you can drive etc. So, yes an almost 18 year old could rent an apartment however if its only for a 2 week stay, surely it would be easier and perhaps more cost effective to stay in a hotel? As far as where is concerned, somewhere like Clapham or Chiswick or Camden would be cool (young people, cafe society, bars etc) or somewhere central like Soho or Noho.
legally anyone under the age of 18 is a “minor” … I’m not at all sure a minor could legally sign a lease to rent an apartment … maybe this person’s parents could sign the lease or whatever for them
