I am travelling now and need to pay for my reservations via the Internet but I am not sure if paying from an internet cafe is safe however I have no many other options and would prefer pay if the risk is not very high.
There is a high chance of there being some sort or virus on the system, that could take your bank card details!
I wouldn’t recommend it at all!
Do you have any family or friends who are willing to reserve it for you?
Use a credit card if possible, so you can keep an eye on transactions.
Take general precautions: close any web browser after you have finished, make sure you clicked “log out” on any site if need be, and delete any browsing history.
In general you will be safe. Pick a reputable internet cafe either with a recognisable name, backing or safe location (ie, not some small back street establishment.
Check that any transactions are encrypted (look for the padlock icon in the browser).
As a whole you will be fine – you are more likely to fall foul of fraud by having someone looking over your shoulder as you type your credit card number!
If you are unsure, perhaps you could get a friend or someone you know with net access to do it for you on their computer.
cafe’s are not safe.PERIOD…you should get a wireless protection software
