ok i started the wind waker and i realized there was no gorons or zoras or gerudos. but then i found that the gorons r actually the traveling salesman.so i figured there were just no zoras but then at night in ther cafe bar at windfall this guy says that if u see a shadow in the water don’t give it bait because it could be one of those fishmen that will pull you under. i don’t get it!

The Only Zora that appears in the series is when u play Earth God’s Lyric with the Wind Waker to Medli. and after she plays it shes appears in a dark place and that Zora Ghost Plays The Earth God’s Lyrics with her and appears again when u beat the temple. And what the Guy in the cafe might be talking about is the shadows in the water. those are just fish when u see the shadows in the water while in the boat. if u take out some bait ( not the pear looking one that allows u to Control the seagulls for a few seconds) but the red small bait and throw it right by the shadow in the water and it eats the bait. the fish either allows u to try to hit it with ur bow or gives u something i think. and that’s what it means!
The only time there are Gorons in Wind Waker are when you see the Traveling Salesmen, and only once you see a Zora, which is when you play Earth God’s Lyric at Earth Temple. When you do that, a Zora appears holding a harp looking instrument and talks to you, but you can’t personally talk to it (like when you talk to a Great Fairy, you talk to it but you can’t walk up to it anytime to speak.) I know that was a long answer, but I hope it helped!!!
The Rito (the birdlike people) are the descendants of the Zoras. The Earth Sage says this when she asks Link to bring Medli to the temple. There are a few Gorons disguised on a few islands as merchants. And also, the ‘fishmen’ are these fish that swim near islands. You spread bait near the shadow and the fish will draw the island on your map for you.
