Emma asked:
Im moving to Hendon and I need to know how easy it is to get from the suburbs to the city centres where there are shops, cafes, bars etc, and how safe it is. Also, how easy is it to travel to and from the airport if Im living in the general Hendon area?
the underground, that will take you where ever you want to go.
There are shops in Hendon you know, you won’t need to go into Central London every time you want a pint of milk. When you do need to go into London itself, you can get the train from Hendon to St Pancras, and from there the Underground will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go.
Hendon, central London, Heathrow are all connected by the Underground.
Hendon is almost a small town in it’s own right, you don’t need to go (and frankly wouldn’t want to!) into central London which is real ripoff land!
Don’t even think about driving in central London! Permanent jams/ripoff parking prices, congestion charge that multiplies by the day if you don’t pay to the level of a small countries national debt and the traffic wardens are now so incentivised they will soon start ticketing traffic in jams!
Take the northern line from Hendon direct to Leicester Square.
